February 20th, 2015 I was working on my brand new point of sale system for my Garden Centre, when the unthinkable happened. I entered the sale incorrectly, seems like not too hard I should be able to fix the error. So I proceeded to work on fixing the mistake, I tried everything then resorted to deleting entries and now the files are not able to be fixed at all.
I called the company that I bought the software from and was told that a technician would get back to me on Monday February 23rd, 2015, as no one would be working on the weekend that could help me. I felt sick about the damaged files and could not think of how to make it better.
While I was fretting about the damage I have done, I suddenly thought of Jeff Boulton. Jeff had installed a back-up program of some kind on my computer. I had no idea if it was saving these files or not so I called Jeff on Saturday (I don’t think this is a work day for Jeff either). Jeff answered my call and told me that yes the files in question were being backed-up.
So within an hour my system was back up and running perfectly. All the files are restored as if I had never destroyed them in the first place.
I am so thankful for this back-up program and Jeff! The program is so easy to operate and everyone should have their files being backed up daily! It can and will save your company time and money!
